About PSI


Ron Payne – Founder and Managing Director – founded Purchasing Services, Inc. (PSI) in 1995. Ron combines his extensive management, consulting and training experience with significant success in designing and implementing best practice supply chain management strategies. Prior to establishing PSI, Ron held several senior level management positions in three Fortune 500 companies. His most recent line-purchasing role was as corporate purchasing vice president for Digital Equipment Corporation. He has also held progressively responsible roles in purchasing and manufacturing management at Lockheed and IBM.

Ron has been on both sides of the table, currently as an entrepreneur rendering professional services to clients and previously as a corporate buyer, acquiring goods and services at the enterprise level. He is particularly gifted in examining core competencies and implementing comprehensive best practice procurement strategies.

Affiliations
Ron Payne's professional and academic interests include his service on boards and advisory groups for Boston University School of Theology, University of Texas School of Engineering, Daystar University (Nairobi, Kenya), and the Minority Supplier Development Council, MSDC of PA NJ DE. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at Gordon College for the Gordon-in-Boston Urban Studies Program teaching, "Selected Topics in Urban Economics and Business Development."

ML Fox –
Principal Consultant – has a long and successful history of designing, installing and managing cost accounting systems in manufacturing and service industry companies.  He has consulted with a number of clients assisting Procurement, Materials, and Logistics Directors in designing measurement systems to track the performance of newly installed procurement, materials and logistics processes. The first 25 years of his career were spent in Fortune 100 companies in various roles from entry level cost accountant to Business Unit Controller to Corporate Cost Accounting Manager. Fox brings a unique set of skills in translating how the benefits of transformed processes flow to and improve the bottom line.

Robert A. Paul - Executive Consultant and Coach - is a Senior Operations Executive with over twenty years of General Management, Business Development, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Merger and Acquisition, and International Operations Management experience. He has demonstrated accomplishments in creating platforms for developing rapid growth business, organizational design and customer value added processes, global new business and engineering development. Paul held senior operations positions at COM/Energy System, Unicom Corporation, Digital Equipment Corporation and General Instrument Company. He is recognized by Board of Directors, peers and associates as a visionary, results driven leader, motivator, and team builder who sets strategy, establishes priorities, makes tradeoffs, and leads in the execution of the operating plan.

Angela Payne - Consultant - is a result oriented professional with more than fifteen years of experience in various purchasing and manufacturing capacities with large, innovative organizations in the Surgical Device and High Technology Industries. She has significant experience in Materials Management Systems, contract negotiation, bid/component analysis, cost reduction, and understands order and requisition processes. Angela is skilled at managing processes in multiple sites and in leading project teams.
